HISTORY of Conceria NUTI IVO SPA
NUTI tannery was founded in 1955 by Mr. Ivo Nuti, our honorary chairman. We began operations in the town of Santa Croce sull’Arno, an area well known for its leather tanning heritage. Initially the tannery had only 15 employees and produced suede splits for footwear.
In the early days, our entire production was made for the Italian footwear market which expanded rapidly during the post war era. The following years brought us continuous growth based on quality, service, and our willingness to explore advancing technology.
In 1970, our focus turned to the European luxury leather goods market. We quickly learned to produce world class leathers, combining beauty with performance, while meeting the strict technical requirements of this particular market.
To accommodate our considerable production increase, the consistent demand for better leathers, and our own strategic plan for the future of NUTI, we added the direct subsidiary tanneries: Lloyd (veg) in 1981, and Everest (calf) in 1989 and challenged each with the task of becoming a world class tannery with their respective productions.
Today, the NUTI group of tanneries is proud to be known as one of the largest and most technically advanced tannery groups in Europe.
TODAY of NUTI IVO

NUTI is proud to collaborate with the Department of Industrial Chemistry at the University of Pisa.
